Privacy Policy

CR Tag Battle (“the App”) is an iOS application for managing disc golf tag battles for leagues such as the Campbell River disc golf league. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

By using the App, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Who is responsible

Information we collect

When you use the App, we may collect:

• Account information: first name, last name, email address, username (typically your email), and a hashed password. We do not store passwords in plain text.
• Registration requests: if you create an account yourself, we store your registration as pending until a league administrator approves it, including the league you selected and any optional tag number you requested.
• League activity: league membership and role (admin, manager, or player), tag assignments, Game Day participation and results, last-played dates, season archives, and related operational data needed to run the league.
• Device information for notifications: Apple Push Notification service (APNs) device tokens, only if you allow notifications.
• Session data: authentication tokens stored on your device so you can stay signed in.

How we use your information

• Create and manage your account, including pending registration review.
• Keep you signed in and secure your sessions.
• Show tag lists, assignments, My Tag status, and Game Day workflows within your league.
• Allow league admins and managers to manage members, tags, configuration, and Game Day.
• Send optional push notifications, including:
  • low-tag / stale-play reminders when your tag is below a league threshold and you have not played within the configured interval; and
  • alerts to league administrators when a new registration is waiting for approval.
• Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the App and its backend services.

Who can see your information

• Other league members can see names (and usernames as needed) and tag assignments on the tag list and in Game Day flows.
• League admins and managers may also see member email addresses for league administration.
• League admins can review pending registrations (name, email, requested tag) before approval.
• Service providers that host our API and database process data only to run the App (for example, cloud hosting and database providers).
• Apple may process push notification delivery through APNs.

Data storage and security

Account and league data are stored on our backend servers and database. Passwords are stored as secure hashes. We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Account deletion and your choices

• You can update your name, email, or password in the App (More → Account) where you are signed in.
• You can delete your account at any time in the App under More → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account credentials and personal profile data, clears your tag assignments and memberships, and removes related personal records where required. Some league operational history may be cleared or reassigned so the league can continue to function.
• If your registration is still pending and you cannot sign in, contact erica@ericawright.ca or your league administrator to request deletion of the pending account.
• You can turn off push notifications in iOS Settings at any time.

Children’s privacy

The App is intended for league members and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

International processing

Our hosting and database providers may process data in the United States or other regions where they operate. If you use the App from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy. Material changes may also be noted in the App or on this page.
